Day Six

Day Six = 20% of the way! How about that! This was by far the hardest day for me thus far. Everywhere I turned I found myself dreaming and craving delicious off-limit foods. Sunday's are also my *Friday's* at work, so I was also dragging a bit. The timeline I linked to the other day talks about how days six and seven are when most people report feeling the most tired. And the reason for this is described by the fact that your body is realizing that it cannot fuel on sugar any longer, since you aren't eating sugar. Processing proteins and fats as an energy source requires a lot more effort, and your body is working hard to change. Luckily, I came home to Jason cooking dinner, a pretty clean house, and a couch I could curl up on after dinner.   :)

Breakfast: Red Pepper and Broccoli Omelet, Bacon and two Oranges
Snack: Veggies and Guacamole
Lunch: Chicken Fajita Lettuce Wraps, Apple with Almond Butter, Veggies and Guac
Dinner: Lemon Pepper Pork Chops**, Skillet Potatoes, and Garlic Greens Beans with Almonds
Snack: Banana Chia Pudding

The Lemon Pepper Pork Chops are followed by asterisks for just one itty bitty reason. Jason was a trooper in prepping dinner but went a wee bit over board with the amount of red pepper flakes in the marinade. By wee bit, I mean my tongue was on fire, but it was an accident, and he tried. So in other words, not much of the pork chops actually were consumed. But a valuable lesson was learned, and tomorrow is a new day!
