Can we get a few virtual high fives for being a third of the way through our program?!!? That's right, Day Ten and going strong. Now based on that timeline I shared in the beginning, Days 10 and 11 are where people who end up quitting generally do so. And more often than not, it's because they are bored, feeling uninspired, in a rut with their meals... you get it. So all that said, we are nowhere near letting boredom or redundancy take control. We mixed it up a little instead.
Breakfast: Warmed Banana and Almond Butter (for me), Smoothie for Jason
Lunch: Spaghetti Squash with Marinara and Italian Meatballs, Sautéed Cauliflower
Snack: Smoothie (for me), Apple and Banana (for Jason)
Dinner: Leftovers from Lunch plus Applesauce and Almonds (for Jason), Butternut Curry Soup, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Pineapple, and Almonds (for me)
Snack: Apple with Almond Butter (for me), Applesauce (for Jason)
Jason is feeling the Whole30 magic for sure. He came downstairs as I was finishing lunch wearing a shirt he hadn't worn in over a year because he felt it had been too tight, and announced that a pair of jeans he hadn't been able to fit in for some time now also fit again. I'm competitive, don't get me wrong, but seeing his success and happiness is WAY more rewarding for me than seeing my own results. I already talked on Day Eight about my non-scale victories thus far, but watching this program work for him is an awesome feeling. I couldn't imagine taking this challenge alone, and I'm so glad he's along for the ride!
Wow!!!! He's already noticing his clothes fitting differently?! Sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteYES!! I can tell a difference in him as well, not only is he looking slimmer already, but his mood and confidence about everything is better too!
